Merry Christmas from us to you!

And yes, my lovely husband has a mustache again. "Movember". Not really sure why he had to start growing it in October???

Cake:
1 cup sugar
3/4 cup flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
3 eggs
2/3 cup mashed (canned) pumpkin
1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
Filling:
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 tablespoon butter, melted
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup powdered sugar
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 15 X 10-inch jelly roll pan. Cut wax paper to fit the bottom of the pan and leave an inch overhang on each of the short ends of the pan. Lightly grease the wax paper and sides of the jelly roll pan.
Mix the sugar, flour, salt, soda, cinnamon, eggs and pumpkin in a large bowl. Once mixed, pour mixture over the waxed paper. Sprinkle the walnuts, if using, on top of the mixture. Bake for 14-15 minutes until edges pull away from the sides of the pan and center is done.
Lay a large dishtowel on the counter top (it is best to use a dishtowel without any texture – a tea towel or similar towel works best). Spread a thick dusting of powdered sugar all over the towel. When the cake comes out of the oven, turn the pan upside down on the powdered sugar-laden towel so the wax paper is on the top. Gently peel off the wax paper, being careful not to tear the roll. Starting at one of the short ends, roll the pumpkin cake up with the towel to cool. While the roll is cooling, mix the cream cheese, butter, vanilla, and powdered sugar together until it is light and creamy. Once the roll is cool, unroll and with an offset spatula, carefully spread filling in an even layer over the cake. Roll it up without the towel and place in the refrigerator (covered with plastic wrap or wax paper) for about an hour before serving.

I made the 3 amigos these adorable onsies. It was really hard to get a good picture of them. Hadley only wants to attack poor Trenton's face!

*Hadley and I have enjoyed a few pool days. There is a pool right up the street from us and he loves it!
*Loren and I went on a date Saturday-a beer paring dinner. For me not really liking beer, it was really fun! It was something different to do. The food was fabulous. There were 6 courses and with each course they give you a beer that goes well with the food. Don't worry...the glasses were mini:) The only down part- we sat next to this sweet old man who talked the whole time about us joining the Elks Lodge!
We are SO excited to meet Miss Mya! We are going to Minnesota the last week of July.
I also need to acknowledge my sweet husband. Happy First Father's Day!!! You are truly the best man I could have to be the father of my children. You are so wonderful and I love watching you with Hadley. Thank you for being the best!

Oh my, we are almost there! You will be 1 year old so soon!! Everyday you present us with something new. It's been so fun to watch you learn more each day. You are really into brushing your hair. It all started with daddy doing it to you when he would change your diaper. Now we say brush your hair and you rub your head. Its darling! You have 4 teeth! So, now we brush your teeth. When I saw ", Let's brush your teeth" you take the finger brush and brush your hair:) So cute! You are really into saying, "Da-da". You call everything da-da and probably say it at least 100 times a day. I love hearing your little sweet voice. You like singing . You laugh and smile SO big when I sing to you. Sorry, I'm most definitely off key:) You LOVE the stairs. It's the first place you head to when you have the chance. You are also very confident you can go down them, but you don't have a clue. Going up is a piece of cake for you. We have been so blessed the past 11 months by your sweet self.
Hadley is quite the handful these days. He has discovered the stairs and is not at all apprehensive to climb all the way up. Watch out!! I feel a little tooth just breaking the surface. He was really crabby a few weeks ago and had a low fever, so we thought maybe he was getting a tooth. I guess we were right. He has been happy this week, hopefully it stays that way.
Loren's family was here last week. It was rainy but we still had fun. It is always fun to get everyone together. Next time we see Lexi and Corey they will be a family of 5! Can't wait to meet baby girl and find out her name!!! My fam comes this weekend. It will be fun to have them as well. We are so blessed by 2 wonderful families!
Summer down here officially begins this weekend. The town will soon be flooded with people. I must say, I'm ready for it. I'm trying to work on my tan but, I do not want to be old and leathery therefore sunscreen is a MUST!
We have enjoyed boat rides and watching Loren and friends wakeboard. Hadley does pretty well on the boat. Which I'm glad, because that is a repetitive activity down here. I think that is all I have. Please pray for those in Joplin who were affected by the tornado. I truly cannot imagine the devastation they are experiencing. And pray for the rain to stop! :)
