and....

Hadley is officially crawling!! Watch out!! He is also waving...melts my heart! I will post a picture soon!

new addictions

Okay, so I decided to take a break from writing about our big move. Our house is a mess. The packing has finally begun:( But on a lighter note, I thought I'd share a few things I have recently been addicted to...good to get my mind focused on something else. This is completely random by the way.

Number uno:
SHELLAC! Have you heard of it? It is the nail polish that won't chip! I have had it on for 2 weeks without chips. If you like to have painted finger nails like I do, this is a wonderful product. I love having my nails painted. It simply makes me feel "pretty":) We all have our things that make us feel pretty. Nail polish is my thing.
How it works: You have to go to a nail salon to get it. It is a gel polish that sets with a UV light. It usually costs about $10 more dollars than a regular mani. It also stays shiny the whole time. I end up having to take it off because my nails grow out. Trust me, do it once and you will be addicted!

Number dos:
A touch of sea salt dark chocolate. Oh my oh my, this is delectable. I am eating a piece as I write this. If you are a chocolate lover, it is a must try!

Number tres:
Aranciata San Pellegrino. This has become my favorite beverage. It is a sparkling orange beverage. They also make a lemon flavor, but the orange has won me over. It is a little pricey, but oh so worth it. So refreshing!

Baby Dedication

Last Sunday we had the opportunity to have Hadley dedicated at our church. This is something that is so important to us. We are committed to raising Hadley in a home that believes the bible is the absolute truth. We as parents will do our best to demonstrate the love the God has for us. We give Hadley to God to fulfill his purpose and plan for Hadley's life. Crazy that God trusted us to be his parents-I'm SO glad he did. We will do our very best!!

Nathan and Chrissie also dedicated Delaney. I wanted a picture of the six of us, but somehow that did not happen. Oh well. Enjoy this beautiful day! Our last Saturday in Denver:(

House is Sold!

Yay! I mean I think yay? Ug...I have been on an emotional roller coaster. At the moment my eyes are filled with tears writing this. Our first home has sold. We put A LOT of work into it and it is finally getting to the point of where it's what I envisioned when we bought it. I remember it like yesterday, the excitement we had purchasing our first home. We had plans and worked hard to achieve our goals. We even lived in it for a whole year without a completely functioning kitchen-that was fun. We have had a lot of firsts in this house. Including the best first of all, Hadley. I am sad to say goodbye to our sweet home on Irving. We have many memories. I will even miss our nut-job neighbor, Nash, banging around outside in the wee hours "scaring the cats away" as he would claim. I just told Loren I didn't even want to start packing because I don't want it to not feel like our house. We are leaving next Saturday. We will shut the door for the last time and walkaway. I will probably cry for weeks...but deep down I know this is the right thing. It just doesn't necessarily make things easier. Wish it did.

8 Months!

Sorry it has been so long since I have posted. Life has been a bit crazy, to say the least.

Happy 8 Months to our little Hadley! Time is flying by. I really can't believe it. I know, I say that every time but I'm serious. Hadley, you are such a sweet part of out life. You are becoming a busy, busy boy!You are SO close to crawling. We have been trying to help you figure it out. Before we know it you will be all over the place. You have taken some ouchy face plants-definitely hurts on our hard floors. You can now go from your tummy to sitting up. We had to lower your crib so you don't fall out! You are starting to wave and clap. It's funny what amuses your dad and I these days. Food has been fun. We have loved introducing new foods to you. For the most part you have liked it. Last night I gave you chicken-you were not a fan. I then mixed it with apples and you loved it. You have been a bit crabby the past few weeks. Maybe you are working on some teeth?? You also got your first sickness (I won't count the minor cold you had around Thanksgiving). I took you to the doctor and you have a upper respiratory viral infection. Nothing they could do since it's viral. So, the snot sucker is getting lots of use, as well as the humidifier. Poor baby. To end on a good note- you are such a little blessing to us and we can't imagine life without you!
We love you to the moon and back!!
